Raising Capital for Medical Innovation presented by Dr. Christian Renaudin
Raising capital for a medical or life science startup is different from fundraising for almost any other kind of company.
Investors are evaluating more than the idea. They are looking at the science, intellectual property, regulatory pathway, clinical validation, market opportunity, team, and the milestones needed to reduce risk.
Join MedStart, in partnership with Sacramento State and the Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, for a practical workshop on how medical and life science startups can become more investor-ready.
The workshop will be led by Christian Renaudin, an experienced healthcare entrepreneur, investor, advisor, and Managing Partner of Almond Tree Capital.
Topics will include:
How investors evaluate medical and life science startups
What makes a company investable
How clinical, regulatory, and commercial risk affect fundraising
What milestones investors want to see
Common fundraising mistakes
How to prepare for investor conversations
This workshop is designed for medical device, biotech, diagnostics, therapeutics, digital health, and other life science founders who are preparing to raise capital or want to better understand what investors expect.
If you are building a company around medical innovation, this workshop will help you better understand how to fund the journey.
Cold Pizza and water will be provided.
